Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

What Is A Sponsor?
Are you a recruiter or a sponsor??

A Team Of Excellent Sponsors!
  Sponsoring Recruiting
Type of Relationship Sponsoring is a marriage of equal partners. Recruiting is a chase with a "hunter" and a "hunted."
Duration of Activity Sponsoring is a continuing process of creating and cultivating a relationship that serves the needs of all involved parties. Recruiting has a specific beginning and ending. It begins when you start pursuing your quarry and ends when you "sign them up."
Type of Activity Sponsors nurture, encourage, and develop lasting relationships. Recruiters "love 'em and leave 'em." The philosophy is throw them all up against a wall and see who sticks.
Breeding Sponsoring breeds friendship. Recruiting often breeds an adversarial relationship.
Loyalty Sponsoring creates a winning team with reciprocal loyalty. Recruiting leads to dead "downlines" with high turnover and low retention rates.
Needed Skills Sponsoring is the specialty of leaders with people skills. Recruiting is done by slick sales people and "head hunters."
Measuring Success Sponsors are primarily concerned with the success of their team. They know that they will be rewarded when their team does well. Recruiters are only concerned with how many new distributors they "sign up" and how much it means to their pocketbook.
Techniques Sponsors answer questions and solve problems. Recruiters use sophisticated techniques for overcoming objections and closing.
Rewards Sponsors successfully develop large teams and equally large, recurring paychecks. Recruiters build short term "downlines", cash in, and move on to the next "deal."

We need sponsors! Will you commit to work hard to become one?

The 10 Commandments of Excellent Sponsors

1.

Don’t sign people up ....sponsor them.

2.

Don’t sell your product ....educate your clients until they buy it.

3.

Don’t attend meetings ....unless they help build YOUR team.

4.

Don't approach people ....drive them to you.

5.

Don't do anything ....unless it is duplicatable.

6.

Don't tell people how to do this business ....show them.

7.

Don’t try to get rich ....help others to achieve their dreams (the money will follow).

8.

Don't visualize a secure future ....see yourself with a financially secure present.

9.

Don't build a downline ....build relationships...and build a winning team.

10.

Don't ever give up .... the only way to fail is to quit.

There is a big difference.
A recruiter is effective at 'signing up people', and then moving on to sign up others. The recruiter seems to be on a frantic search to find superstars among the crowd, and his way to 'find' them is to 'sign them up' and then watch and wait. The recruiter believes in 'love 'em and leave 'em'. He expects the superstars to eventually rise to the top and the others to eventually quit.
The Sponsor has a different attitude. He believes any person worth sponsoring is worth developing. The sponsor believes in 'marrying' those he sponsors while the recruiter wants a 'one-night-stand'.
Being a sponsor is an ongoing activity.

It is this ongoing activity that creates loyalty to the sponsor and gives the sponsor serious credibility. The recruiter is a traveling salesman; once he has sold you, signed you up, he is gone. You probably will never be contacted by the recruiter again. The sponsor is a helper/teacher who wants you to have the training and tools you need to be successful, and the encouragement to keep plugging.

There is also a transferable concept here.ttfaq.jpg (3358 bytes)
Your sponsor wants you to be a sponsor. A sponsor develops other sponsors by deliberate, careful help and encouragement. A recruiter expects you to be a born 'superstar'. Superstars are 'MADE' they are not born. They are 'developed'. Making a superstar takes training, encouragement, help, patience and time. It takes being a sponsor!
What does it take to be a superstar?
It takes a lot of attitude-type things, such as confidence, commitment, determination, credibility, etc. Where do these 'attitude' type things come from? They are learned. They are taught and they are caught.
Here are the stages of the development of a superstar:
         bullets_stars_red_001.gif (227 bytes)Learn to be a real sponsor.
bullets_stars_red_001.gif (227 bytes)Develop others who will become real sponsors.
bullets_stars_red_001.gif (227 bytes)Teach them to teach others to be real sponsors.
The secret to your business success is this:
The recruiter is not building a business in depth, they continue to sign people up continually never looking back or helping those who come in. Their organization is mainly one level and mostly quitters.
The sponsor is building a duplicable system that can run down through his/her organization, building depth and strength. This is a powerful downline. He is not building a downline of people, but a downline of sponsors.
So what is the difference between sponsor and a recruiter?

A   The difference between 'HYPE' and 'HELP'.

The sponsor's job begins when you enroll someone, the recruiters job ends when you enroll someone. The recruiter's goal is to sign up people. The goal of the sponsor is to build leaders.

Before asking yourself which you want to be, ask yourself which do you want your upline to be. Remember, you are the upline to others.
Here are the 4 Keys to getting to the TOP:
